when u buy and install Viking expansion....do u on the menu still have a choice to play online with peoeple that have Medeival Total war only and for people that have Both install?

do to new units and to some tweaks if you have the exapsion pack you CAN NOT play with some one who has MTW only.
There is a read me on the disk to show you how to do a seaperate instal of MTW if you wish to have both versions.
All you can do is pray for a quick death... which you ain't gonna get -Mr. Blonde
Just install medieval to another Part of ur computer and use that version to play the folks without VI yet

Yeah. Before you install VI, copy the MTW folder over to another area on your hard drive. I have two hard drives. VI is on one, and MTW is on the other. After a while, everyone will be on VI, and all the campaign games saved under MTW will be completed or abandoned. Then you would not necessarily need the MTW version any more. I've heard of people with multiple MTW folders -- one for each mod.
Not a big mp player, but you would definately run into version conflicts.
Sir Robin the Not-quite-so-brave-as-Sir-Lancelot,
who had nearly fought the Dragon of Agnor,
who had nearly stood up to the vicious Chicken of Bristol,
and who had personally wet himself at the Battle of Badon Hill.
