Druzhina Cavalry = Lithuanian Cavalry?

I finally got long awaited Viking Invasion and its very nice so far. I started a campaign as Vikings and started raiding british isles, very sweet. I also wanted to see the new russian cavalry unit so I chose a custom battle and checked both High and Late era to find that there is no Druzhina cavalry in Russian army instead there is Lithuanian cavalry. Then I thought they might have the Druzhina cavalry in the campaign so I started a new campaign and found out that you can have Druzhina cavalry if you build that and that. Is it just a bug in the custom battle menu?

Well not every unit in the game is avilable in costum mode. Highland clans men and gallowglasses for an example.

Mayeb its the same with Druzhina. Also ahve you tried diffrent eras? Mmany of the new units are restricted to early and high only.

Look on pg. 12 of the Manual it says for Druzhina Cavalry you need Horsebreeder + Swordsmith and they are available to Russian and Novgorod in Any Province and during Early and High era only.

Yeah, and they're fairly sucktastic, which is a bit odd, as they ought to be lightyears ahead of boyars, since druzhina were the Prince's bodyguards, and the boyars didn't often like him much. I'm disappointed with the majority of the new Russian units in general, though the Heavy Steppe Cavalry are nice.

Yeah, and what about Brits who get the round shield spearmen instead of the regular ones Looking at the picture these guys are not that good (no armor whatsoever...)

Yep, forgot about the manual, thats what it says during the campaign as well, so I guess they are not available during custom battles and multiplayer
