I would advise you to make a seperate installation for this little beauty, ooo yes this mod is by far my favourite out of all the mods ever created for me. If you havnt tried it go and get it here - nap mod
Download version 1.7 sit back and install, simple as that and youll have a nice collection of Napoleonic troops in your unit selection area.

Thanks for the kind words Tenkisoratoti, what you are playing is just the unit betas the Mod Campaign as a whole is still in the works. The Lords have put alot of work into this so far and still have some ground to cover before the release of the whole campaign. Well today i played it online for the first time, was great fun although the green jackets are a bit strong and shoot for miles, you might wanna nudge a stat or two. I cant really get an effective infantry charge because half get mown down doing it and so they are immediatly routed so it may turn out to be a gun war
other than that its great and im sure it will be completely perfect when its actually done.

If your infantry is getting mown down when it charges then maybe they've got it right - yuo've got to soften him up a bit first
The Unit Betas are released for your enjoyment of course and also it supplies us with the needed feedback as you are doing now, The unit stats are constantly being tweaked from all the feedback you the play testers give us. Well seeing as there are so many posts in the other 'napoleonic mod' id rather ask questions etc here.
Right i have avidly played the multiplayer nap mod with some comrades. But its a shame that there are so many people posting in that other post, yet there is hardly any body with it in the lobbyCOMON PEOPLE.
Ok a few pointers: i played a recent battle (which i forgot to record) but for that battle we just had a shootout and it just so happened i had a few jaegar infantry units with me and i opened them up as skirmishers at the front. I blasted away at the french lines then withdrew so's not to get my jaegars fighting the french main body (enemy). The skirmishers had deeply weakened morale and at very long range were very very accurate. The the main french body approached and opened up a volley i fired back and the battle continued. I won the musky war so my enemy launched his cavs on my flanks, i then made a bayonet charge into the very very weak french main body immediatly routing them. But the irony of the battle was that i won the musky war thus won the day, admittedly i did use better tactics and out flanked on every turn but it was 80% musky war guns blazing the guns also fire very long range, and as i said earlier a bayonet charge is very hard once you have lost the musky war.
Also why is it that units fire behind each other and the unit (60 men) infront doesnt get hit?
Like in the STW MI the muskies are able to hit targets beyond their range, so for example a bunch of troops stop to fire just in range of another infantry unit, but miraculously they manage to hit 3 horses behind them aswell as the infantry unit they were originally shooting at.
The mod is superb and very fun SO FAR but these issues need to be fixed no?
