Some odd things that have been bothering me as I play, some have got to be bugs but others are just annoyances I suppose.

    1. Missing a link or two... Getting a Vice like Inbred after having the unit for 15-20 years. I've had good generals reduced to being worthless by suddenly losing chins and growing toes. No, this wasn't them dieing, it was just random.

    2. Sieging isn't quite that... I've had several sieges now where 1 or more of the units I was besieging start the battle away from the other troops like hidden in a forest or something. It makes no sense for a fort/castle i've encircled to be able to let troops out to hide. Sieging a fort/castle should make it so units can only be placed inside the fort. Before you ask, it wasn't reinforcements. I've had it happen to isolated forts/castles.

    3. Historically, this place is worthless... Has anyone else noticed the lack of provinces being giving a bonus to troops in the VI expansion? I think theres maybe 1 for ever 4 or 5 provinces. And half of them aren't even for special units, just spearmen/archers/horsemen. Also, are Urban Militia possible to build sometime in the VI campaign? I haven't seen any so far, besides for mercs. The reason I ask is it shows Mierce as historically producing better Urban Militia.

    4. A ship like any other ship... I'm sure this has been brought up before as well. I was hoping they'd expand apon it in the expansion, but it seems the same as ever. Naval combat consists mainly of just having more ships. It doesn't matter if the stats for yours are weaker, you'll win half the battles either way.

    5. Well, no 5 I can think of right now. Its 3am and the Irish have been taking up all my time. Don't take this as a rant, its more of a not-so-subtle patch suggestion thread. I doubt four has any chance, but I feel the first three are valid complaints that (hopefully) would have a chance at being in the next VI (still hopeful) patch.

Anyway, post any suggestions of your own or feel free to tell me why some of mine are wrong/right.

Complains... I bet some people would complain if the game was designed according to your requirements, or mine, or CA's. That's the nature of the beast: people with power commiting their limited resources to one goal over another.

But we are here to talk, so let's hope that CA is commited to patching VI sometimes in the future, although I do not expect groundbreaking changes in the mechanics of the game.

Here's an oddity I found in the viking invasion. One turn after starting, my King who was 27 had a 15 year old daughter.

Look what these bastards have done to Wales. They've taken our coal, our water, our steel. They buy our homes and live in them for a fortnight every year. What have they given us? Absolutely nothing. We've been exploited, raped, controlled and punished by the English — and that's who you are playing this afternoon Phil Bennett's pre 1977 Rugby match speech

What I have noticed is disappearing princesses. One turn they are there and the next just gone, never to be seen again. Maybe they joined a cult?

Urban Militia can be built if you play the Mercians. Can't remember which building you need though.

    Disloyal Generals

Start the game, make the FIRST End Turn (year 793 to 794) and get the pop-up (paraphrasing): Your Generals are Disloyal Take Action

    WTF Game just started.

Yeah and there is nothing you can do about it at all without doing Stalin-style massacres.

Well you can marry your princesses to them.

You can also just not assign titles until you get more units to choose from.

Makes the game interesting, doesn't it? That's the joy of playing the Welsh... disloyalty everywhere.

Ok maybe its just me but when I get a disloyal or plain sucky fella (Crack brained) province governor I just disband that unit. Is this lame?

I try to play the campaign rather realistically, within certain boundaries tho, and in real life I'd given the nutcase a kick up the arse anyhow.

I'm no great SP player, I tend to focus on my MP generalship at which I have become adequate the last weeks, but now with VI out I've started an SP campaign. It's fun My first king was legendary, he plain ruled Had all these expert attacker/defender, last stand and magnificent builder virtues. His heir sucks

Haha, SP is fun (It cant match MP tho )

VI it seems to be remarkably easy to flank & then defeat in detail the AI........No such luck in MP

and the Irish as well. the key is to marry your daughters off to them, keep them spread out, and give them titles like mad. Also their's the good old charge them into overwhelming odds but that's not really historically accurate

Until you have a twenty year glut of princesses, that is...

I am actually quote enjoying VI. It's refreshing to have to think laterally. I am finally having a modicum of success as the Welsh... and only because I have NOT attacked the Mercians or Saxons... I've only taken Guined, Defet and the Isle of Man. The secret is to take Defet as quickly as possible, it's a cash-cow, and then concentrate it and Guined on mining/farming improvements... None of the Welsh provinces have any trade goods, and that makes income extrememly difficult.

The only problem with sitting back and defending your borders is that my Kings never gain influence.. and subsequently I'm more likely to have disloyal generals

VI is awesome. Gonna have to give the Roman Empire another run in the Early campaign

    Cheers
