Thread: Rome Total War Video on Vikings CD!

    Hello

Just installed Viking Invasion, but let me tell you of something different...

There is a selfplaying EXE-Videofile (Bink/RAD-Video) on the CD.

It shows a video of ROME - TOTAL WAR.

    Ingame footage or a video?

I could not believe it, it looked stunning.

But... who shall control that, and how...?

But well, before I start complaining, it looks VERY promising

(and like a forced processor upgrade, too... ugh&#33

    Hello

That video was first released by www.gamestar.de in late last year/early this yer IIRC. That video was subsequently published to the internet, and at the org there was a thread with that vidoe and screenshots posted by a guy called Scharukin, which got more than 17,000 hits

Here's a link for a cool page with most screenshots from ingame:

    Half Done's Screenies page RTW

Check it out. Make sure to be seated and have a glass of Scotch close at hand.

If you remember me from M:TW days add me on Steam, do mention your org name.

Longasc, the movie is in game footage generated by the game engine. The only enhancement added to the movie was to put faces on the warriors - a piece of programming they might not have gotten around to yet. Impressive, isn't it.

I don't think half the community could handle a second trailer, health-wise that is.

I'd also like to mention that the Devs who pop in from time to time often take a moment to offer some reassurance to those who are about to have an apoplectic fit over the potential system requirements for R:TW. The concensus seems to be that in all likelyhood a PC capable of running MTW will also be able to run RTW as well. Its possible that will change over time, but we can always hope

The E3 trailer was rather nice, but not very exciting (that may be a small fib): more troop types, bit of combat, a few elephants and blokes doing the ladder thing over walls, and, and...

Can't find the Rome:TotalWar one - found a Gamespy E3 Report which sounds tremendous

As an aside (sorry Mods if this is not acceptable, I will take my chastisement like a man ) whilst looking for an E3 RTW movie, I came across the Lucasarts site - their gold guy has some very funny new E3 animations - check it out if you have the time Lucasarts E3 - gold guy top left hand corner

    Cheers,
