Is it possible to add new events, or even edit existing ones? All I've found so far is that editing the event text is possible... the effects might be hard-coded.
It would be quite useful to be able to change them when making new campaigns.

Stavka, have you searched the Dungeon forum? If you can't find anything there, then I'll move your question over to the Dungeon for some proper attention.

Events and effects all hardcoded, sorry.

Ok, thanks... I assume though that event effects can be avoided by renaming province IDs? Are ALL events tied to province IDs or are faction names (or anything else) involved as well?
Depends on the event type. The quake and flood events check to see which regions are 'quakable' or 'floodable', and pick randomly from the available set. You can change these flags in the startpos file. Plague can hit anywhere. The Black Plague affects everywhere. But all the historical events have hardcoded conditions and effects.
PS & FYI: I just posted the dates for the Medieval events in a thread in the Main Hall; avoid if you dislike spoilers.
