Here's the problem: Whenever I edit a unit's graphic, the panel for the unit always appears in as a black square instead of the unit itself.

I've noticed that if I edit a unit's Review_panel BIF file directly using the ReadBif program or using Paint, it shows up fine in the strategy game (though the shows up as pink). However, during battle, the unit graphic is replaced with a black square. The unit itself is perfectly fine, including the graphics for the men, but the Review_panel graphic is messed up.
This thing happens to completely new units with new BIF folders in the Textures\Men folder as well as units that simply have just their Review_Panel file edited.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Which programs are you using to edit which files (BIF/LBM). Also are you getting the black square on the Campmap files (info/review directories) or the battle unit directories?

I was getting them on the battlefield, but I figured it out after some help from the boards. Seems like I forgot the Battle\UnitIcons\ files >_
