Pete
1:Select a province with a unit dojo, no matter which.
2:Move ur army to that province
3:click on the army on the map
4:Then, down at the buttom, a bar with that army units appears.
5:Now click on your unit training button, and take a unit that need retraining and drag it in your unit training que.
6:Click next turn
7:Your unit is fully retrained
Retraining includes: Full men restore, added armour and weapons upgrade, drill dojo upgrade, dojo-, and palace upgrade.
However if your unit has honour 4 and your dojo give +2, then your retrained uint will only have honour 2!
if u do not understand this, then please say so!
To others: If i've forgot a point, or it isnt clear enough, please clear it out ...
Thanks in advance...!!

Got the order slightly wrong, you can't select the army before the province, so put in the order:
1
2
Click on the unit training button
3
4
Drag the army into the first vacant slot in the training menu
6
7

Sjak, I beg to differ dude. Troops never lose honor during the retraining process, they only gain any benefits a particular province has to offer. When you see honor drop, it's usually because you've retrained say, (28) honor 5 Yari-sam. When their unit is refreshed with say, honor 2 troops, that will lower the average honor of the group. Retrain in the very best province you have if possible.
Hmm... It might well be.. Just my impression... sorry M8..

GAH! Whats the COST of retraining... if any? I never retrain... just push them off to the grave...

Thanks.
I tend to agree with Vanya. So far, I've been unwilling to spare the veteran units from the frontlines. Thus, most just charge into one final battle and die with honor. :P
I would also like to know what the cost for retraining is. It must be less than the cost for training a whole new unit, or there wouldn't be much point.

It is new in MI or WE.
It doesn't cost more, it costs the amount that that many troops would cost i.e. 50 HC onto another 50 to complete 100 would cost 500.
As for keeping the high honour guys etc. up front I agree but what I do is merge them with others and send of the depleated group to be retrained leaving the veterans to prod buttock
