Has anyone played the game Port Royale.
If you have or have heard anything about it please post here.

I like the idea of this game from what I read atAscaron. Would love to hear any opinions.

I spent a couple of weeks playing this actually, about the same time VI came out. I actually really like it, its just a fun game, I suppose its just a trading game at heart but if I had to sum it up i'd say it was sort of like elite 14th century style. It does have a few little quirks like the fact that as you grow in power so does everyone else, so you can't just expect to keep doing the same thigs and winning.

Anyhow I had quite a good time playing it and It'll last anyone who gets into it a good month before you get bored and discover everything there is to do in the game. The replay factor is also there with the ability to try the game in a few different situations. Well worth a look in my opinion, I wish there were more games like it really.

I played a demo of this. Liked it, not the most brilliant game ever but very nice and very entertaining (as far as the demo goes of course).

But if you're thinking of buying it and you are not sure maybe you should give the demo a try? I am sure they will have links to it on their website or else you could try fileplanet?
