    As I've heard,
    ChanceToKill%=1.9*1.2^df
df=atk factor - def factor + Bonus by combat modifier

But I wonder, how does the ChanceToKill work in battle result?

I suppose 2 types of works:
    1. Each single man of a certain troops has CTK ratings against opponent single unit encountered, and CTK rating works between 1 on 1 single conflict. ex) a cmaa and csergent meet- suppose cmaa's ctk 10% and cs' ctk 5%- cmaa single man defeat the opponent successfully by 10 hits(10%x10=100%), and find other cs man near and attack again, and agian..
i.e. CTK works each single man..

    2. Same example above, 2 rows cmaa(30 men compose frontal line) attack 3 rows cs(33 men frontal). each cmaa has ctk 10%, so total 30 frontal cmaa have 300%(10%x30men)' ctk ratings, so they kill 3 men of cs at 1 single hit.
    i.e. CTK works by groups.

    Which one is right?
    Can any1 teach me?

    p.s.
I've build [Chance To Kill] calculator at shogun.cafe24.com/medieval , the tool includes almost of the combat modifiers(formations, fatigue, terrain, attacking derections, charging...), but unit size, width, morale factors r not counted yet..
U can look up them now.

But I wonder how it works in battle, so that I wanna upgrade the tool more efficiently..

    Have a nice day.

So far as I understand, it is worked out at the individual soldier level - not group level. Combatants pair off (no more than two soldiers can attack an enemy soldier at any one time) and the outcome of every attack computed at each time interval. Someone once told me how long the time interval was, I forget exactly the answer, but it was very short (eg a second).

    Ah, got it.
    Thanks again Simon.

    U all can d/l my unit_master_tool latest version(v.701), including chance-to-kill calculator:

    http://shogun.cafe24.com/files/Yas_u...aster_v701.zip

Please tell me, how can I upgrade the tool with the ctk results, for in-real-battle-simulation..
i.e. the calcutation results r not including unit size, width, morale... How can I involve them into the tool? Does any 1 have a good idea?

Is this also why its impossible to kill the last royal knight general even though he is sandwiched between 200 spearment?

The general has hit points. That's why it's hard to kill him. He starts with 6 hit pionts, and this is increased by his health rating IIRC. Also, in SP, a man can gain valor if he kills a lot of enemies. This too will make it harder to kill the general once he's gotten a lot of kills. And, peasants have a very poor chance of killing anyone anyway.
