    Me hate dis

Me can't see my troops for the forest. Betcha those Vikings are drooling and running themselves into trees and tripping over roots. Wish there is an option to turn trees into tree stumps and hidden units to turn invisible.

    Me hate dat

Me hate moving troops and finding they not happy cos they think they are constantly retreating.

Once upon a time, it was a dark and stormy night. The enemy had no archers and are hiding in the woods. Me have four units of brave Viking archers. Me have calvary run back and forth, stupid enemy run out and get shot, then run back into woods.

After awhile of dis, my calvay thinks Uh oh, me sick of constantly retreating, eventhough me army has not lost a single man and the enemy lost about 200, me wanna go home.

So off the calvary ran, and ran and ran... back to their mommies.

The rest of the army was shocked and decided to charge blindly into the woods.

And they got lost, and eaten by witches in candy houses, wolves in grandma's bed and raped by seven horny dwarves.

Unfortanetely the game engine cant figure out when your using cavalry to threaten flanks and sucker the enemy and when they actually are trying to get away from 300 jolly spearmen.

Guess you can look at as balancing the game for the artificial stupidity who can easily be suckered into stupid moves
When a fox kills your chickens, do you kill the pigs for seeing what happened? No you go out and hunt the fox.

Just as a probable solution. When you move your calvary back to your lines do you run?? Try walking them back. Seeing their own Cav running at them in a retreat or organized withdrawal (sp?) can be.....un-nerving, to a simple Viking warrior. Maybe if you walk the Cav?
Of course, you will most likely take casualities when you walk back. And make sure to move them back soon enough so the AI doesen't cut off the Cav and destroy them. It happend to me just a few days ago, using that vary same tactic...but that is a story best told around a campfire, with some Jagermiester.
I don't wanna get off on a rant here but............That's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Command, come in. Have arrived in Venice, streets filled with water. Please advise.
