Real time movies for Shogun.

Has anybody seen or heard any news about a movie editor for STW? For those of us who played alot of Myth and Myth2, one of the best things about it were the ability to record your battles. Not only was it fun to go back and watch your wins, but it was also very helpful being able to see what tactics your enemy used when you were beaten. I learned alot from reviewing my films.

So my question is, is there any way to record films of your battles in STW? And if
not, do the developers have any intention of
including it in future patches or add-ons?

Ive been taking alot of screenshots during large battles, writing out the stories and sending them to friends. This game is so epic that no battle seems insignificant. Does anybody else agree that an editor would be a great inclusion to this game?

I'm not aware of one. I think someone here at the ORG was working on some sort of tool to record battles, but at the present moment all we have is a log-reader that lets you see the composition of your opponent's army.

Yeah Magyar was thinking of doing a battle recorder, but it won't be "movie-like" more a data stream thing.

well that's nice, but you only get to see the same thing over as you did during the battle, ie it won't help you too much to see what was going on around and on the opposite side.

btw, uhmmm... get a video camera? that would make for quite some quality tapes... ahem... at least use a VCR and direct VIDEO OUT from your puter to have it look good (and it would also be cheaper even if you would have to get a TV card, if you already don't have a video card with such capability)

i suggested to the developers that if they outputed some very small certain data every 15 seconds of battle to a logfile i could make a nice battleviewer for it... sadly nothing heard since. snif....
