In a past mode I've managed to make the Novgorods pagan but this time I can't

i checked the crusderprod11 files to make sure there is culture clash and the early.txt files to make sure they are pagan with pagan characteristics.

    AM I missing something???

Had a similar problem. Turned out that some of the units had specified 'Orthodox' religion. If you leave that field blank, it takes care of problem. The other thing to look at is in the Setattributes section of the early.txt. Make sure that the region that the Novs control are set to pagan.
