I have to bring sad news from the Sword&Pistol,

Lord Tigger, the owner of the S&P Tavern has decided to close the doors of his place by the end of the month.

The expansion of the site as well as things moving on in real life have all been too much and he has to step back from running his site. Those who know him and his place will know what a loss to the community it means.
His forum will be open for about another two weeks, for anyone who wants to drop in and say goodbuy.

Well, I guess I am now a wandering knight without a castle. Landlord, do you have a room free in this friendly place ? If not, a bale of straw and a blanket in the stable will do me fine.

Sad news, indeed, Sir Nigel. But we never shoot the messengers here , so you're welcome to the run of this place. Make a few more posts & we'll have you on your merry way throughout our forums.

I've been a fan of the S&P Tavern as well, tho' I've been remiss in visiting lately. All my best to Lord Tigger.

For those unfamiliar with the place, here's a link:

I've visited sword and pistol quite a lot, although I never posted. I'm sorry to see it go as it was a good site. It gave space to some more obscure games like Stronghold and Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood. If it hadn't been for sword and pistol I wouldn't have found the three bonus AIs for stronghold crusader.

Sword and Pistol Hail and Farewell

PS.Nigel there's a small space in that corner :points:, feel free to dump your stuff there. You'll have to provide your own stone and peasant labour if you want to build a castle though
Frogbeastegg's Guide to Total War: Shogun II. Please note that the guide is not up-to-date for the latest patch.

With a heavy sigh Sir Nigel dumps his armour and shild, saddlebags, cooking equippment, inflatable catapult and all the other stuff a wandering knight has to carry around.

He lights up his pipe and makes himself comfortable. Then he pulls out a tankard bearing the inscription forte et animus beneath a crest of two sword crossing over a pair of pistols, fills it with beer and begins to drown his sorrow.

I am afraid it is so.

Well, I guess this is it. The tavern is closed now. I was over there on Friday, only to find the place empty. Forum, reviews, downloads etc. are gone. Just a notice where Lord Tigger is thanking all the partons who livened up the site over the last two years.

Oh well, live has to go on. Thankfully this place is is still here, where an old knight can rest his tired horse, polish his armour and put a new edge on his sword to get ready for new battles and adventures.
