Hi all. Been lurking here since summer but figured I might as well finally register and contribute some.

I have throughly enjoyed reading many of the posts and wish I had found this place sooner.

By and large, most of the posts here are very informative and interesting to read. I see very little rancor and appreciate the efforts of the admins.

Let me ask you all a question and a dilemma.
I bought original STW back in Jul, not realizing WE was coming out. DOH! Boy was I annoyed in aug when I first visted .com and .org and found that out. Probably accounted for my delay in participating here.

Well now I have been playing STW off and on for 6 months and really like it. I do have some major complaints (Hojo horde, Geishas, tedious strategic endgame) but it sounds like those have been addressed with WE/MI.

I followed all the discussions regarding WE/MI and its subsequent patches with much interest. Most discussions back then were about how nasty WE/MI was but now most seem very happy with it.

That puts me in the position, finally, of considering an upgrade. My question is: Should I purchase MI or WE??? Cant do both. MI is cheaper but expensive shipping. WE now down to $30 and will probably drop to $20 in the next month or so. Are they both the same?? What comes with each one? Does either have the manual that should have come with the original Shogun?? Which should I get? Why?

I think they're the same so you might want to make "COST" the deciding factor. So far, support has been given to both versions. (Patches come out for MI or WE). Let's just hope the patches don't concentrate on one.

MI is indeed cheaper than WE, and both are exactly the same, otherwise. The thing you wanna check is whether MI plus shipping is more than getting WE from a store or not.

I just picked up the MI expansion...it was only $15.00 US. I couldnt fins anyone that wanted my ols stw so...just bought the axpansion
