    Thumbs down

I wanted to download the Gnome v2 editor but was unable to because a freaken applet ad popup obscures the webpage and any attempt to click on the first 10 or so files sends me automatiaclly to the advertisers site (Magic the Gathering or some such bollocks). I realise that sites like this rely on advertising but i mean come on surely there are limits

Are you sure the site it sent you to was not the 3dDownloads page where you have to get the download you want?
It does strongley resemble an advert page because it is so bloody full of them.
'Odi et ammo, excrucior' - I love and I hate, it hurts.

'Excretus est ex altitudine' - Shat upon from a great hight.

ah, we dont rely on advertising because we are a guest site,
we pay for nothing and in return recieve no revenue,
    we are all volunteers,

as for the ads, i hate those rollover/takeover ads ,
    i call them Window Hogs,

IF you have clicked on a file from the download links on the website simply wait 10 seconds or so, it will go away,
    OR
IF you are browsing the 3D folder's you can click on one of the files further down the list,
That will take you to the next page which has information on the file and on the queue (if any)
THEN click the parent directory link,
which will take you back, and you should see a different ad,
hopefully not one of the window hogs

If you are browsing the folders on 3D and click on a file you go to the download page, which is plastered with ads,
on this page (scroll down a little) you will see the filename, size, queue (if any) and estimated wait time,

If you click on a link from the Org's website you should go straight to the download page,

once you click download file you will get a little popup which has yet another link on it,
that popup link really is the file

all this rigmarole was instituted by TeleFragged (who have always hosted our downloads) because of the large number of other sites which were linking directly to files in our file archive (bandwidth stealing),
as a guest site we have to go along with what our host wants, at least it is all still free
