A little advice to possible newbie, please

Hello

I have heard great things about M:TW, and was on the verge of getting it this week when one of my mates told me that the game does not play so good using my graphic card. I have a Hercules Kyro II 64mb, can anyone tell me if this true or is my friend talking a load of bull???

Hopefully someone has the answer. I would also recommend going to totalwar.com and look in the support section for known issues with graphics cards. Lastly you can also pop a post at the following locations:

Hi

I have Kyro I 32 MB and the game is playable for me.
If you have DX8 or DX9 cards you will see more effects in battles, but I think you can play the game whithout problems.
Install the patch for MTW. Before him, the game was sometimes unstable, but with the patch I have only one crash for all my games Don't know what's with the Vikings.
To play you should change some default DX settings (described in the game readme), which is a little bit unconfortable, and the settings are reseted sometimes (if you install new directX).
