Could someone who knows please tell me what gives my generals the pride vice, so I can avoid repeating my mistake?? All of my generals always get ruined by this horrible thing, regardless of what faction I am using. The dang vice takes away 2 command stars
Well a few things you can do assassin, spy, or an inquisitor if you are catholic bad vices are unavoidable and those three are the only way to get rid of that general

Not sure there is anything you can do. As Italians I once had every prince & general except one get this vice for about 100 years straight - no lie. Didn't seem to make a difference if they were fighting or not, had title or not - just seemed to be the game messing with my head.
i know its not what you want to hear but at least they're not turning into cowards.
i dont mind getting that v&v,
they get +3V and fights like mad men, i once gatherd all those ex gens in one stack and got the ultimate slice and dice army.
if they go belove 5 stars i put the unit as a battle unit, which the gens arnt they just stand and watch.

Maybe pride becomes a greater issue if you generals are too sucessful. Or not.

Your generals will gain vices from just being idle. The only way to prevent it is to have them campaigning, Leusugi.

Its not always possible to have them campaigning, someone has to guard the borders. I seem to get it alot also and it really sucks when the 5 star facing off the 7+ star Byz general suddenly becomes a 3 star. In MTW 2.0, does Pride (-2 com,-2acc,+3V) turn into Lazy (-1com,-1acc) like it does in MTW 1.1? If so, do you get refunded the -1 com and -1 acc?

I have noticed that in every game I play their is never all of the vices. The computer seems to settle on a few, for example in certain games i find all my generals and governors becoming corrupt, and i notice that the AI is also suffering from the same thing. The same happens with other common vices like pride and inbred or chinless wonder.
Is the valour bonus just for the general or is it for the whole unit the general leads or is it for the whole army that the general leads?
I have another questionI know that morale bonuses (like from Natural Leader) get applied to the whole army. But what if a general is a Natural Leader but is not leading the army. Will the general and his unit still get the morale bonus from Natural Leader or does the general actually have to lead the army for the Natural Leader to kick in?
