I have a problem with a new faction

Hi guys,
I am working on a mod with several new factions. I have already added the Scottish, the Irish and the Welsh. I have tryed to add Genoa but something strange is happening. I do the same thing as for the other but only the king and the royal unit appear on the campagn map. Even if Genoa is assigned to the new faction on the scenario.txt, the area is still occupied by the Italian who hold the castle. Basically the Doge of genoa appears with no army on a foreign territory.
Any one can give me an int about what could be wrong ?

What about province ownership? If Genoa isn't genoese then you should change only this and everything should be just fine. BTW is it going to be a mod for MTW VI or MTW 1.1 ?

Unfortunately this is the problem Genoa ownership is correct It is own by Genoese in the txt file but still Italian on the map.

Did you comment out the Italian King and units ? if not check placeleader in your startpos mod txt and comment out the Italian leader by placing the // before the data do the same for any Italian Units , agents etc

Did you assign Genoa to the Genoese? It sounds like you may have placed the starting leader in Genoa and not assign a region to the Genoese. Go into the start pos, look for set region owner and assign Genoa to the Genoese or FN_Free Genoa or whatever you called it.

Unfortunately the ownership is correct
I have used FN_FREE25 for Genoa and the owner is FN_FREE25. It is a strange thing but everythings seems fine with the star pos. It seems that the game recognize the new faction but it is unable to read the ownership of the region. Could be a graphic problem ? May be I have forgot or make a mistake adding the castle flags or something similar ?

I have found the problem I don't know why but in my start pos Genoa was written 2 times and the other was still owned by the Italians Thank you to everybody for your help.
