Is CD3 the play disk? If so, did you buy the VI expansion? It replaces the MTW play disk as the one that needs to be in your CD drive. So if you still have MTW installed on your computer, you could buy the expansion and never need your original CDs again - assuming you never want to change your computer... (Anyway, by the time you upgrade, MTW will be in the bargain binds as STW is now.)

The VI expansion is worth getting in its own right, so you would not really lose out.

If you have VI or CD3 is not the play disk, I am sorry.

However, if you were playing with a pirated version of MTW, it may well be the case that such a version was 'delivered' on 3 CDs.

If you were the recipient of such an illegal copy then you obviously would not have purchased the original, and hence would have no idea whether the original was packaged in 2 or 3 CDs.

    Just a thought

My legal copy of MTW is on 2 CD's and not 3. So I do not think that it can be an original copy, unless you are mistaking the Viking xpac for a third CD.

    Question

It may be possible that some game stores are selling all three as a package deal. I buy my games from and independent retailer who will some times sell the game and the expansion as a package before the gold edition comes out.

    Hey vassy

I only have two cds as well. However, I know the case that my copy came in is one of the DVD jewel cases designed for three discs (says 3 on the button thing (?) in the middle of the cd space to hold the discs in place). Have you tried installing and running it? If you have then feel free to disregard this useless post, but if not then give it a shot. I borrowed Medieval off a mate first ( I know, its shameful, but I wanted to play it and was a penniless student Bought my own copy at the first opportunity ) and I thought he'd forgotten to give me one of the discs.

    Hope this helps.

Hello vassy. Welcome to our virtual halls of diverse dialogue.

Just a guess, but I think Miltiades may have hit the jackpot.
