can't seem to post in the watchtower where it might be more appropriate
- for the last two days i have been unable to access the www.totalwar.org homepage- everytime i go an advert pop-up with a subject title about.blank comes and hangs my internet explorer- the only way out is to ctrl-alt-del
....am running windows 98 and never had a problem before?

I have some trouble accessing the foum and the main oage over the past 4 days. off and on I cannot access these pages, for long periods.

Same here... I have serious problems connecting to the forum and threads in general…
I have to do several refresh routines to be able to get the page downloaded…
It seems to be ok from school (heavy broadband) though.

Yea iv had the same problems i tihkn it could be stuff to do with bandwith but a reply from tosa should clear things up.

If your running a personal firewall, check your logs. You should notice a HUGE number of ICMPs (pings) having been blocked. My isp is kind of in a backwoods surburban part of internet and around 4 days ago, I was getting 40-60 pings an hour hitting Zonealarm.
Extrapolating to the higher density networks and on the backbone, the ping traffic must have been enormous.
