I have a host of questions...

Why cant we choose our successor anymore?
It seems to just choose the oldest.

When I look at my units info, it says
"Cost to ???" : How do I do pay this cost? I think it is a resupply or training
cost or something. I cant remember what it says. Anyone know what this cost is and if it is automatically paid for???

AFAIK, the successor has always been the oldest. Never had the option to choose.

Also, the cost is to either train, retrain, or build. It seems self explanatory. If you're going to retrain, you need the Drill Dojo (available only in Warlord Edition)

You don't need a drill dojo do you? You just need MI. It was a new option thing that came with the expansion. I'm sure I've retrained long before I've had a drill dojo, I fact I know I have.

You're right, Zone-san. The Drill Dojo adds to the rallying capability of the troops produced in the province and is generally not worth the koku. Retraining can always be done as long as the province has the actual facilities to produce units of the type in question.

As for how retraining is actually done... I maintain that the developers should have put this into the manual so we wouldn't need to answer this question every week.

But, basically, you drag the unit into the construction queue of the province you want to retrain it in. In one season, it will be replenished to maximum strength and outfitted with the best available equipment. More detailed explanations are available in older threads.
