I tended to pick Yari Sams as my taisho. My logic was that I didn't want to worry about losing my taisho if made him an elite unit that tend to make riskier attacks (flank, rear). That flies against main stream thinking and judging by my horrid record in MP, is probably a bad choice on my part.
