Need some Backup Files

I downloaded the LOTR mod and put all the files in the correct spots. The problem is now all the sheilds in te game are except for 3 are rebel nothing sheilds Could someone please e-mail me the C:\Program Files\Total War\Medieval - Total War\campmap\shields folder?? Thanks a lot GPMB I hate to be a bother but I realized I have a lot of other messed up files too. Could you or anyone please send me the whole Medieval Folder or direct me to a place that I can download it. Thanks

I've screwed around with a whole bunch of things and I don't even know what anymore. The game still runs ok but many, many things are screwed up, like for example The Default_heroes file is all screwed up and a lot of the textures are messed. I just want to get a backup folder so I can use and uninstall mods. Just last night I downloaded the LOTR mod and I forgot to backup all my files so that's how all my flags and shields are messed up. The help would be greatly appreciated. I'm having a lot of fun with modding things but Before I did stuff I forgot to backup. Even my CursaderUnitProd11 file is screwed up. Thanks for the help GPMB.

Modding is fun and i have messed up my share of files But you have learned a lesson and that
is .....back up back up back up then back up some
more lol. Unfortunatly i have aol and i cant attach emails
with more than 16 megs in size.But if you can tell me which
files you need exactly i will be more than happy to upload them to you.

I think the files I need for sure are the Unitprod Vikingunitprod buildprod vikingbuildprod textures/men/actions page and textures/men deadpage coords. The rest I should be able to fix myself but these files I cannot fix as I do not know the proper numbers and stuff for them. For example a have super Lancers in my BACKUP crusaderunitprod and don't know the original numbers to fix it. GPMB your help has been great. You truly are a good person to take the time to help me out in this. Thank You

i think that would be a no,

there should be no troubles installing to new directories,
i have TWELVE copies of MTW and/or VI, 4 copies of warlords and 2 copies of shogun on my PC,
i have a ton of mods installed,

ALSO I have a "CLEAN" copy of each installed on my backup drive,
thus when i need a new copy i simply do a direct copy from my backup drive, rather than re-install.

sending an entire copy of the game would be kinda illegal,

Can someone please just send me the four prod files then?? I game is all screwy because I don't know all the original stats to fix my files. I didn't realize noone would be willing to send the whole game. But if someone could send me the four prod files for VI I would greatly appreciate it.

Dude, its not that people dont want to help...

Sending almost 2 gigs of information is a HUGE understaking, it would take days even with a fast dsl or cable connection.

Not to mention that it is also highly illegal and is technically piracy.

Its OK to ask for a few files (I remember the first time I tried modding the startops files I had to ask for a backup here too ) But the entire thing? Nah, thats simply not feasable.

Try to figure out which files exactly you have messed with. Make a list and people here will be happy to help... Or for a really simple sollution...

I am sorry about asking for the whole thing I was just wanting because I screwed up royally. I also wanted a full backup file. I am sorry if I offended anyone I didn't even think of piracy or massive uploading time. As for reinstalling I borrowed the game from a friend so I can't do that. And Like I said in the above post the files I need are the four prod files CRUSADER_BUILD_PROD13, CRUSADER_UNIT_PROD11, VIKING_BUILD_PROD and VIKING_UNIT_PROD.

The files aren't totally messed up but a lot little things. Like when I played as the turks I added to the turks a bunch of Egyption and Almohad units and now I don't know what ones to take away from them. Or I would change the Morale of a bunch of units and now I don't know what the originals are. It's a whole lot of little things like that, that don't affect the game TOO much but I would like to play it properly not with a bunch of units with 20 morale running around.

viking AAA - (the version i use online - no mods added)
viking_AASecret - (um - um - cant tell, it's a secret mod version of vikings)

viking broken - i actually crashed it half way thru my current mod, i had to extract all the files and have been too lazy to delete it
viking CD - (this version demands the CD is in the drive)
viking modbasic - (campaign mods tested here)
viking modmaponly - (map mods tested here)
viking nap - (Napoleonic mod installed)
viking smapmodtest1
viking smapmodtest2
viking testing - (users maps)
viking vanilla - (nothing added - a vanilla version)
viking work - (where i test new files, building images and such)
z_vikings - where my current mod actually is, as i add completed sections they are integrated here for full testing

ah - i was wrong, not 12 copies, Fourteen
plus one more on a backup HDD...

Hey 678, just reinstall if you can, and then try and make new copies of each with a new name.
