Thats the first I have ever heard of playing as mongols
Are you pulling our leg?

I am also technically illitereate, how does one start with a -ian command line? To play rebeles istnt the cheat .conan. in the strategy map screen?
Right click your MTW shortcut on your Desktop , then click Properties then note there is text highlighted in a windoow that should say "C:\Program Files\Total War\Medieval - Total War\Medieval_TW.exe" -strictserver" .
Change the -strictserver part to -ian so it now says"C:\Program Files\Total War\Medieval - Total War\Medieval_TW.exe" -ian .

Now you can play in a sort of "debugging" mode that allows you to swich factions at will {just play with the numbers buttons and shift+numbers to find which is which ... Rebels is always 1} and can use G for godmode which lets you see all provinces and lots of other things {VERY useful for testing mods} .
When the Mongols arrive , they will have a number like every other faction , thus you should be able to play them in High ... same for Swiss and Burgundian too I imagine .

And no , I don't know who Ian is either
