ah, good ole cheap eMachines. as others have stated, the intel grapics arent very good. bypass it with a new vid card. being eMacines, however, you're prolly going to be stuck with putting a pci card in there. most of the eMachines are so cheap, they dont even have an agp slot. so, check it first before buying a new card.

you can try updating the drivers, and those might help a bit, but it's still going to be mostly unsatisfactory. dont know why, if someone told you the intel graphics werent much good, that you went and got an intel controller. kinda makes no sense to me, but, oh well.

if you can, try and avoid teh gf4 mx 4xx series of cards as replacements. they can work. i have one in one machine, but they tend to be a bit fussy and a bit low end. but, if your eMachines machine doesnt have an agp slot, you may well have to get the gf4 mx.
