Quick question: Is Judaism a religion in Medieval, or is there just Islam, Catholisism, Pagan, and Orthodox? I never thought Judaism was in it, but I just noticed it today (after playing the game for months). I think maybe I had a mod that didn't fully uninstall, but I dont know.

Quick answer (my first one&#33: No it is not Some provinces are supposed to have jews but are considered for the game as pagan.

yes they do exist in the game. naturally in some provinces such as palestine but their percentage is too few to cause any real problems and if they do cause a problem place a few inquistitors in there to cause religious genocide

I should have doublechecked it. The manual actually says Jews could be found throughout Europe, but particularly in Islamic countries where their learning was highly valued.

Yeah theres Jewish minorities all around the holy land and even a decent amount of them in Khazar, but they always end up being completely extinct after about 50 years in the game.

Seems to me that Judaism should have played a bigger role in the game. Jews played an important role in the economic and political life of Europe. And not just because of usury. They also formed a group that was spread throughout central Europe and the med, who had a common language and common literacy, making them valuable chroniclers and emissary/messengers. They were often important in moving money and letters of credit. This is how the great Jewish banking families gott their start.
They were tolerated in many countries as long as they didn't get too economically powerful and then they were expelled, their wealth confiscated and after a few years that areas economy would collapse and they would be quietly let back in, an example of self serving anti-semitism.
