Howdy.... Just seein if I can still post somewhere. Got a little drunk and got tossed out of the Tavern. For all those who haven't been in there yet, you're not missing much. Just a bunch of antiAmerican socialist pigs. But, I'm sure there is plenty of that in here as well. Well you can all tea bag me as well I'm your new God Bow and worship...well, time to have another drink

God bless America and God Bless George Bush

    Hi Dave,

I don't mean to be rude, but you might want to put the keyboard out of reach while enjoying the effects of liquid refreshment. Comments on teabagging - (and yes, I do know what it means) and politics do not add much value to the discussion on MTW.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Question

OMG, Dave - what happened to you? I have only been a couple of days out of the country and when I come back I see that they put you in the EH to sober...

What the heck did you do?

Come on now Teutonic Knight, dont be flippant

Dave went way too far and it got really nasty, if someone said anything half as venomous against America/Christianity/Idiots in such a blatantly offensive manner, then I would expect them to get the same as Dave.

I initially chose not to reply to this thread, as it defeats the purpose if one chooses to continue arguments originating from The Tavern, to the Entrance Hall.

It just, IMO, defeats the object of having seperate and distinct forums.

I hope Dave can rapidly re-appraise the manner of his contributions to The Tavern - as I similarly had to do 6 months ago - because he has been a long standing member and adversary and, after all, we all have RL issues that effect our rationality.

I remember it's not so long ago (7 months? ) that most regular paricipants in The Tavern chose to congragulate Dave on the birth of his first child - regardless of their poilitical affiliations. That says something.

However, Dave aside, I also hope TK that one day you may understand that any percieved America bashing that may strike you as being precipitated by left-wing radical Europeans, who wish to see the demise of the USA, is just as unrealistic as the arguments defending people who get banned from The Tavern because, simply speaking, they went over the line on more than 1 occasion.

Many of us learn by our own mistakes. Some also learn as a result of the opinions of others - that may not initially be entirely condusive to ones own. I would, however, sincerely hope that many individuals learn as a result of finding their views may represent a small, and perhaps out-of-touch, minority that fails to appreciate that the arguments of others are not necessarily construed to deride anyone but rather to illuminate the rather small world in which many of us choose to reside.

oh come on, I was only kidding. It just seems that sometimes anti-Americanism is turned a blind eye to, but when someone offends a European group, then there is an uproar of flaming and name-calling and accusations....

I do agree that such behavior from both sides is unacceptable, as was Dave's...

I don't think it's unrealistic to think that there are people (in the European left and elswhere) who would not mind (if not celebrate) if North America suddenly sank into the ocean...

that`s because we Europeans have had a couple of thousand years practice at slagging off and killing each other

while Americans have only been at it for a little over three hundred, you just need a bit more practice.

    Well spoken katar... .

I hear lots of Anti-American sentiment over here in Switzerland too most of which wholly unfounded, to be honest. In in all frankness, I have been known to have a go at them as well at times...but you know, once you're done with the Germans...what else is there ?

There are as many idiots in America as there are in Switzerland or anywhere else in the world, for that matter (propotionally, that is) but who as a citizen of their country would slag off their own people ? We would have to find our own mistakes and wrong-doings ? No one can expect us to really do that...can they ?

We have lots of good discussions here in the Entrance Hall, Dave, your well-known sensible way of dialectic argumentation may be appreciated there
I hope you realize your behaviour was inacceptable. On the other hand, we all should more often think carefully if what we say might not unnecessarily provoke others. One of my last sigs was an example for this. While I still think its meaning correct, it may have been a thorn to some members and I apologize for it.

It was nice of you Tavern folks to come out and see me. My ass still hurts from hitting the sidewalk outside the Tavern.
I went over the top, but I had bitten my tongue long enough so I let it all out at once, ok, maybe twice. I hate to say it, but it was worth it in a way. Now I can take a break from reading how white, christian, conservative males have destroyed everything in society.

We might from time to time PM you some of the more revolutionary and radical views on this, to ease the withdrawal ...

BTW, I just read the post that got you banned

I have to admit I was wondering what drug you were on when you posted that (even for what we are used from you that was way beyond acceptable)... or was is some kind of primal scream therapy?

Hope to see you returning to the Tavern at some point

Gotta love the teabag Sorry Ser, i did go over the top, but I had enough and went for the gold...
I don't think after all I said I'll ever get back in the Tavern, but it was fun while it lasted.
Here's a little Daveinkorea logic for the day....

With all the criticisms and belly aching of the war in Iraq, I've yet to hear a different policy that would actually WORK in upholding the UN's resolutions against Iraq. Oh well, there I go being all logical again.
Another thing, I haven't seen any buildings being hit by planes, suicide bombers blowing up anything in America, or chem, bio, or nuclear attacks in the US since 9-11. Bush gets my vote before any on the demo ticket. God help this country if any of those democrates get the house next year. The we will look like the rest of the world, and I con't want that. I prefer to stay soveriegn. God damn I hate this flood control shit

    Ahh...the pride of the transgressor.

No you haven't seen any planes hit building since 9/11 but then again how often did you see it before 9/11? The terrorists hit us once in 93' with the first wtc bombing and again 8 years later, 9/11. And how active have terrorists been since 9/11? About as active as they were before, the Bali bombings, bombings in Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan, planned bombings in Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, etc. So nothing has really changed, at least as far as anyone can prove.

Dave??? Banned to the EH??? I thought it had been awfully quiet in the Tavern recently. Conspiracy theories aside ( ), let me encourage you to lay off the booze, pull it together, and earn your way back to the ole Tavern. Really I think the libbies depend on your pithy comments to enable that certain level of frustrated rage that exudes from so many of their posts. Believe me the quality of argument has most definitely not improved since you left.

Seriously though, maybe you should take a week or two of from visiting us and then come back. Be strong m8
