56 bug: any fixes yet?

MiLords and Ladies;

Anyone seen a version of MTW (modded or not) including a fix for the King=norwegian blue @56 bug?

Presently playing Wes Whitaker's Med Mod 3.09 (which I entirely reccomend to all&#33 but.........

One still has the problem of cutting one's 'heirs', which I find annoying even tho I'm used to it.

Especially as all the AI factions are considerably more active (read: aggressive) and good ldrs come hard for some factions,

Hello L`zard,

The best thing you can do if you're short of an heir or two is to utilise the .unfreeze. cheat. If you type the phrase .unfreeze. (including both full stops) whilst in the campaign map, you should hear the wedding tune and your King's wife will give birth next turn.

Isn't a fix for the 56 bug supposed to be in the VI patch?

The bug must be part of the 'hard code' for there not to be a modded fix, eh?

Apparently, the 56 yr bug *will* be fixed in the patch, I was just giving advice on what to do in the meantime.

I'd just like my carefully pruned linage to last a little longer after I achieve a truely fine king. Be nice to have extra time to take the hier appearent out for walkies so he can gain better V&Vs befor it's his turn on the throne, eh?

Just to confirm what Drucius said, the 56 bug will be fixed by the patch per Giljay one of our resident CA guys.

There are worse things in life than the 56 bug. If nothing else, I can use the time waiting for the patch to hone my patience
