adding VI units and techs to MTW Europe

Is there a mod that adds the units/tech buildings from the Viking Invasion campaign to the grand Europe campaign? Or is it just a matter of modifying the crusader build/troop files?

I tried out doing the 'replicant' thing but I needed to use the map from MTW not VI and the darn thing kept giving me errors. Right now I'm just converting directly and I'll figure out how to make a new add-on later. Have successfully converted most of the building tech tree. However, is there a way to automatically activate the Compass Rose and Gunpowder events?
