Emerging Faction

I have 4 factions, three Major and one minor.

For some reason I keep getting The swiss as an emerging faction on turn two of a campaign.

Has anybody else had this problem ?
If so How do I eliminater them, as the campaign always crashes on turn three as it say 'No Portrait'

Get rid of them from the Startpos file. Completely.

I have done.

They are all // out

So they should not be seen, thats what I cant understand

Mmm. It might be in the events folder. But if you delete it from that, it will affect the proper game. I just got rid of them rather than // them. Don't know if that would make a difference.

What year's it set?

I beleive thats a hardcoded event happens around 1320? not really sure of the date but the best workaround is to go past that date in your startpos start date...LOS

Hardcoded start date is 1281, if Switzerland is independent of the HRE (or the previous province owner).

The start date is 1337, the beginning of the 100 years war.
