ah it would be good I suppose but the problem would be making a unit like that.

DJ has made Wargs, basically the same beast proving it is possible atleast. (Yes I know they are MOUNTS but they can be modified with a similar dog like image).

    Who told you this?

As far as I can recall there is no evidence for the use of these large war dogs historicaly, certainly not as late as the Saxons in MTW are.

If you have read any Bernard Cornwall you may have got it from there, as we sometimes likes to spice his novels up with a bit of poetic licence

lol, you are correct, i do take my name from the Warlord Chronicles by BC.

I only bring this up because although none of us can be 100% sure, it is most likely that the Saxons did not use Dogs of war, as there is absolutely no evidence to prove it, there is also no evidence to dissprove it. This does not realy matter, because the era that the Saxons would have used these dogs as suggested by BC was well before the begining of the VI campaign, let alone the MTW campaign.

I was making a mod for the period that these dogs would have fallen in, but due to time constriants and major cockups in certain files I have had to drop the mod for now. I must say though, a unit of war dogs would have been quite cool to add to that mod. Maybe someday if i ever have the time.
