The mod I am making

I am making a very simple mod. You Play the english witch start out to be pagan and their lands pagan. I am trying and wondering if I switch them to catholic on Late ot hight, If they would become catholic and not pagan anymore. Witch not would bring civil wars and rebel break outs for relgion. . Obvisly making the game harder and annying. Of course this is for whom wants to have fun with rebels. Not the ones who try and adviod them

How would you switch them from Pagan to Catholic?
