In the single mode,when i select my preference and start the game, the time to begin the game is very long same to quit the game. The best is alt+tab, start Windows task manager and kill the game.

Could you tell us a little more about what you are running. Specifically your PC spec; processor speed, graphics card, memory. Then your operating system and the version of the game you are playing. I'm sure we'll be able to get you running smoothly.
ive got the same problem. it just wont urn itself off. ive got 2.4 gigahertz pentium 4 or five processor, a pretty good 3D-enabled graphic card, 12 gb free memory and uses XP. ive got the latest MTW mod. 2.0 i think...

I'm experiencing this too. When I click on a button in the game menu it takes approximately 5-10 seconds before the next screen shows. I've checked The Apothecary but I couldn't find anyhting like this. It's not much of a problem though, it's just annoying.
I'm running on a P4 with 3 GHz and 512 DDR Ram, ATi Radeon 9800 Pro and XP. I'm running Viking Invasion 2.01

are you running the new patch, 2.01? if so, you'd seem to not be alone in this.
if others are experiencing this, which seems to be the case, you shld report this to Activision.
