First of all: I do know that there is The Dungeon but I wanted to ask the non-modders some questions.

    1. Do you use mods?

    2. Which one? What does it do? (only one explanation/mod needed.

I only do my own modding, which seems to have helped the AI with trade & income. I also tend to give the missile units more arrows/bolts.

I sometimes mod unit sizes to make them a little more worthwhile - why do Bulgarian Brigands need a master bowyer if they have poor morale and shortbows - so, I made it a little more worthwhile by making it a unit of 70 instead of the standard 60.

    1. Yes I do use mods.
    2. Norman Invasion Mod by GreasePaint MonkeyBrains. Adds 2 new factions to the VI map, as well as a new campaign, names, etc. Very good mod in my opinion.

    So many great mods

Wesmod 3.12 IMHO the best alround mod, but others are definitely worth trying.

These have lots of cool stuff still centered in Medieval time
    BKB super mod
    Kekvit mod
    Grell's Interregnum mod

    Centered in other times
    Napoleon TW - very cool
LOTR- looks cool but not yet out I think
Other ancient mods I havn't tried look cool too.

Your own mod- yes I think everyone should at least muck round with the units/build files

    In summary I would play

    Wes Mod 31.12
    NTW
    BKB

first then sample the others to taste.

BTW forgot eargerly anticpating port of Shogun to MTW coming soon I believe.

....some many great mods ... so little time....

I love the history from 1500 to the end of 1800.
So I adore the Napoleonic: Total War modd. Try it
