Thread: Hmm...Scotish playable faction in Crusade campaign

I started pondering what it would be like to fight as the Scotish in that time, being majorly outnumbered and at a huge disadvantage. I began wondering if there were any mods that made the Scots a playable faction in the Crusade campaign that doesn't alter their rebel start position in any way, just making them playable and changing their colors. Maybe the units for them changed to be historically acurate. Anyway, I couldn't find it, does anyone know if one exists?

It seemed maybe like it was easy to do, as I like tweaking things around in game, in reality it's probably extremely hard.
Strong men are made on the battle field.

Hello Romnin and welcome to the Org - where 95% of the people seem to have an overwhelming desire to play the Scots. Hop on over to the Dungeon - Alchemist lab forum and search for Scot. This is a popular question/desire but I can't remember at this late hour if anyone has pulled it off.

    Hi, Romnin
In BKB's Super Mod Beta (~40 MB) Scots are playable faction. Many other factions also are playable. And BKB added many new units. Try it.

well I think if a campaign is added it should revolve around robert the bruce. wallace only actually won a single river battle, and was then completely destroyed, ran away, got captured a few years later. the story of braveheart is more than a little embellished (he wasnt a peasant nobody either, he was in fact quite rich)

Robert the bruce on the other hand fought a long campaign against the english and the clans on the side of longshanks and his son, at one stage controlling all of scotland while raiding england all across the border. he eventually outlived them both, but I cant remember what happened after that. it is, however, a far more interesting story.
If there is no grand plan; if there is no big picture; if nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do.

Actually, I have researched Wallace, and his postiion in sosciety, and other things qare relativly left for speculation. Most English docs call him a brigand, and a plain peasent rebel. Scottish docs gernerally give him a better light. however i feel its irrelevant to his camp. correct me if i am wrong though
