LAN games

Hey, I have been trying to have LAN games of M:TW over my network at uni but when I try to create a game it does not appear on the list for other people and vice versa.
I had the same problem with Warcraft 3 but downloaded a program that allowed you to enter the IP of the hoster and it would find their game for you.
Is there a file like that for M:TW or is there some other way of having a LAN game?

Greetings and Welcome bOngO, I think the problem might be in the fact that most Universities, establish securty for there network in the form of a Firewall or 2 and who knows what else, this makes Hosting games impossible, but you should be able to view them, Gamespy has a page you can check when you are experiencing problems such as this ,so next time your on Gamespy check the help page...
