I've added a screenshot of the campaign map.

It focuses around the Aegean sea, which was historically the center of that region. I didn't include more of Turkey because it doesn't really add depth to the game. More Turkish provinces would only mean more provinces for Persia and they are already the largest faction. Besides it would only make the other Greek provinces too small to divide them up.

I believe Komninos thought the same way, so yes the geography is about the same as compared to H:TW.
