Are there any games that are similar to Shogun: Total War (i.e. Something that relies more on tactics.) but are of high quality? I'd like something kind of like *again* Gladiator style battles. Thanx for you help in advance.

I have heard about a game very similar
to STW on Playstation II... but I can't
    remember its name.

    It's a Real Time Stategy/Tactic game with
a little more "arcade" in it.
    (Japanese Sengoku jidai too).

There are the 2 Warhammer serie, in these games, you control unit in formation, graphic is in 3D, morale is important.
Sid Meyer's Gettysburg is not bad too.
And there is a new game (in Dutch): Demonworld II. Thisgame is more like Warhammer but in 2D.
In all these game, there is no construction
of building like C&C clone. There is no individual soldier but units. And morale is important in these game (no like AoK).
