Installation Error

hey guys can this get moved to the apothecary?

Anyway, I've had the same problem with MTW and Shogun Warlord edition. The game is installing, and it gets to 99 or 100 percent and then says: Setup has encountered errors in the installation process and will now terminate. When I click OK, it exits to desktop. Ive searched around and havent found this problem anywhere else, so any help would be appreciated.

I've got a Pentium 4 2ghz with 768 mb of ram, windows xp, nvidia geforce 4 64 mb maybe, i dont remember off the top of my head im on my bad comp. what else do you need to know?

Like I said earlier, I also tried installing Medieval TW and I got the same error
