Thread: Kill ratios.....

  1. #1

    Default

I just defended Awa against a large Shimazu attack - 1700+ invaders. Since I didn't have any muskets, I figured it would be a good test. Of my 16 units, only 6 were archers. End result - time expired - and I had killed 1378 men with a loss of 2 (1 Archer and 1 Naginata). This results in a 689:1 kill ratio.

Now I have had the occasional battle where I would trounce the AI with no loss - but those are usually done where i outnumber the enemy or are able to seperate the AI forces.

In Large (1000+ enemy) battles - whats the best kill ratio you all have had? Anyone able to trounce 689:1?

    Qapla!

I once got a 1350+:2 defending Echigo against the AI... but I had guns... and they ran out of ammo before time expired!

    Lets see the screenshots!

And the description of how you accomplished this task.

I have a feeling that Vanya's includes charging wet gunny wedgies or an elite Arq unit that was depleted to only one soldier left prior to the battle...

    Gah!

The AI is so predictable, sends waves of soldeirs at gun line, archer line, attacks uphill, fails to guard flanks...

    ...ho hum...

Bah im horrible at the battle mode but learning, Im still trying to understand Vanya's gun wedge strategy,
I dun have the MI expansion so wet gun wedgies wont even work,
and i dont see how they have an advantage in MI but anyway i always get trounced by the AI even when i try to use strategy lol,
i suck couldnt even beat the last mission in hte tutorial on easy *sniffle*

If your new to the game, don't try the Ashi-gun-wet-wedge-tactic. Its too difficult at the beginning. But you can learn how to use it by using musketeers (wet and in wedges of course). After a time you will improve and one day you might understand a tiny bit of Vanya's unbeatable Ashi-gun-wet-wedge- tactic which no one except Vanya really knows how to use. Of course you can be successfull with the incredible strength of Ashi-guns-in-wet-wedges, but Vanya is the master and we all are no more than his students.

When meeting with a sudden shower, you try not to get wet and run along the road. By passing under the eaves of houses, you still get wet. When you are resolved from the beginning, you will not be perplexed, though you will still get the same soaking. This understanding extends to all things.

Eeeee, all kneel before my gasy, greeny, garlic-eating, heavy sumo cavalry! My horsemen are so heavy that no horse on-earth can suffer the burden, not to mention that the air underneath my heavy sumos is unbreathable to begin with. Instead, horses are mounted on sumos' shoulders, facing backward. A skilled sumo can use this to his advantage, virtually turning the horse anus into a chemical gas throwler. That and the grand view of sumo's own fat azz, make Vanya's already wet arqs wet their pants even more, and BSM's ^%$@ laying tunderbumbers laying shooooooot like there is no tomorrow.

    Gothmog and Jaguara,

I have the game saved right prior to the battle - and of course i have the battlelog - but that is too easily modified.
I will refight the battle and take the screenshot - it was quite easy to do.

Notice - I didn't say what difficulty level was used - it was easy - and i had infinite ammo....
    8-)
the devil is in the details
but if you wanna tell me how to post pics on here i will recreate and do it again.

That "yeah, right" is for Vanya's running-out-of-gunpowder-before-timer-runs-out fiction.

My greatest achivement and greater failure, 2,652:1. How, thats unbelivealbe you say. I had two teammates (both retarded) and decided victory was impossible, so i out manuvered and crushed two armies, going from 1600 to 698 in the process, got behind all of them, held the hill and went out in a blaze of Balefirelike glory.
