    Hello, I actually used the magical search function before asking this question, and I thought I understood how to extend the gametime....I guess not. :-p I started a game as english in late period (after supposedly extending the enddate), and it booted me at the usual date.

    All I changed is I went into the startpos folder, and under early, high, late.txt I did this:

    for early.txt

    //========================================
    //Start Date
    //The year in which this
    //campaign will begin
    //========================================

    SetStartDate:: 1087
    SetGameEndDate:: 2000
    SetPeriod:: EARLY
    SetEarlyPeriodStartDate:: 1087
    SetHighPeriodStartDate:: 1205
    SetLatePeriodStartDate:: 1321

    for high.txt and late.txt I added the same line SetGameEndDate:: 2000 in the same spot.
    I don't understand why this didn't work.

    Could someone shed some light on my problem, and tell me what I should do to fix this?

    Thanks a bunch

    Do you have viking invasion? If not, you may not be able to change the end date at all. Can achieve essentially the same effect though, by moving the start date up 1000 years or so.

    I do not have Viking Invasion. However I just got it to work, so I figured I'd post a reply to my own thread.

    On the tools and utilities page, there is an awesome program called year 1454 date fix, it did it for me.

    Thanks to Julien for making the program

    Nice job Demequis. Nice to see you figured it out on your own.

    Therefore if I have the VI I can change it to End Date to 2000 and the Start date to 900 and other dates as well. e.g. when it is High and Late.

    Also, If it is not considered Cheating, I can get a longer time to play my empire.

    Would this work

    SetStartDate:: 900
    SetGameEndDate:: 2000
    SetPeriod:: EARLY
    SetEarlyPeriodStartDate:: 900
    SetHighPeriodStartDate:: 1100
    SetLatePeriodStartDate:: 1300
