    Miranda woke with a start, through the shutters she could see the rising sun. Yawning, she got up and stumbled out of the door. In the distance she could hear the town bell announcing the sixth hour. Although it was early the streets were already filled with people. Miranda picked her way through the crowd towards the town barracks. Already she could see the ruffians and the drunks being hauled into custody by other town guards. Sighing she stepped inside and started work.


    In a nearby village the working day was also beginning for another young woman................



    (What will happen to these two ppl? Please feel free to add to the story however you want, just no really silly stuff please)
