Ah ok now I understand. I just checked some of them and I see loads of people to vote for. A winner might not even get 10% of the votes if there isnt a second round with just the top 3 or something. But what do I know..

I think its best to see what people vote for otherwise whats to stop a large clan voting for themselves aka kenchi all voting for inda knight as most feared player lol Do they really ALL believe hes the best player in the game? (sorry kenchi just an example) (well and a little wind up for the cwb) :D

Swoosh, to my way of thinking, if a clan decided to do that and won the HOF, then at least they have the "satisfaction" of knowing their award is a sham. Patting your own back is not nearly as satisfying as when received by another.

As with all voting nobody should get to see the way it's going until the final count.
What would be the point?
If people could see beforehand how the vote is going then you would possibly see the type of thing you are referring to.....block voting. Totally unfair.

How about letting each clan propose one name from within their own ranks to each category.

After this each clan gets one vote in each category and cant vote for their own suggestion.

A bit tricky how to handle all the Ronins though...

Just a quick thought and to late anyway to use this time.

Showing the voting results as they progress will not stop people from voting based on clan affiliations -- because how would you know that they did?

I tend to think the HOF's have been pretty good. Most of my first or 2nd choice people won. (and most werent in my clan).

Also Swoosh, Wolves last year werent that large a clan (numerically) but still won a few impressive awards due to what I beleive is fair voting. If all clans voted for themselves last year SPQR would've had all the awards . Sure there will always be a discrepency especially in most improved and best new player since mostly same clan members observe and note each others progress more closely than they do to other clan members or ronin.

Also I like the suspense of not knowing. However I would've like to see the categories trimmed down a bit. Well actually the amount of nominees for each category. Like mentioned earlier winner might only get 20%-30%.
