I have the first MTW version 1.00. I want to play a friend online who has VI. He says if I d/l the 1.1 patch we will be able to play together. Is this true? Also, when I downloaded that patch the first time from the totalwar.com site it screwed up my game and an error occured so I had to reinstall. What could be the problem? Where can I get a reliable patch?

You can play with your friend if he installed the old version too. If he only has VI then it has overwritten the old MTW and you cant play with each other. But all he needs is a second install without installing VI on that.

Dont know about that error...Patch should work fine from .Com. Try again and hope for the best heh

Thanks a lot. I told him that.

Is there a reason why after logging in I'm stuck on 'logged on' and I very rarely get to access the online games??

Is that in 1.0 or after you installed the patch?

There has been some login problems lately that caused lot of errors and it would hang for several minutes.

I've been 'logged on' today, for a good 5 hours with nothing happeening. It worked this morning. ARGH
