Let's list all theories about human types. It can be any theories from every context. This would be good for total war to discover more vice&virtues for the game.

    Ill start off.

Theory from some book I forgot:
    1. seek for power
    2. seek for affiliation
    3. seek for prestige

    Another theory from Harley Davidson:
    1. people who live in the house.
    2. people who live in the road.

    1. The glass is half full.
    2. The glass is half empty.
"And one should bear in mind that there is nothing more difficult to execute, nor more dubious of success, nor more dangerous to administer than to introduce a new order to things; for he who introduces it has all those who profit from the old order as his enemies; and he has only lukewarm allies in all those who might profit from the new. This lukewarmness partly stems from fear of their adversaries, who have the law on their side, and partly from the skepticism of men, who do not truly believe in new things unless they have personal experience in them."

    Welcome to the Org, Kanett

I do not like these kind of lists since they tend to oversimplify the problem.
Basically all humans are the same: they seek to satisfy their feelings. However, which feelings are important for them varies depending on genetics or personal history. Thus the story gets complex and could think up several dozens of examples which wouldn't help one single bit. So I'll stop here.

You can devide all people into 10 groups, those who understand binaries and those who don´t.

You can devide all people into 2 groups. Those that devide all people into groups and those who don´t.

Glass is half empty/full depends on the direction of flow.

    Pouring it is half full.
    Drinking it is half empty.

ok to be serious there is a test that the army uses to distinguish personalities. all personalities are pretty much a mix of 2 different traits out of a possible 4.

    first off, extroverts or introverts.

extroverts- people who perform well in front of others- such as hitler. most good speakers and authoritarians are extroverts. extroverts draw on the enthusiasm/feelings of other people.

introverts- the quiter types. not neccessarily shy but dont go out of their way to be the centre of attention. introverts draw their strength from within- 90% of the SAS is made up of introverts because when the going gets tough they can draw on their inner strength, where an extrovert has no one to draw strength from.

from here it can be broken down into 4 groups.

cholic extroverts- the one who always has to be boss. natural leaders, but they do not play well together. hitler was probably a cholic extrovert- it was either his way or the highway. hard to compromise with but are generally quite popular.

sanguine extroverts- the life of the party. they love people and being around people, and entertaining people. go from high to low and high again in minutes.

melancholy introverts- the smart one in the corner with the book. the man with the plan. these people are usually steady and reliable- they are far less erratic in their emotions than sanguines. like the nitty gritty.

phlegmatic introverts- the laid back, casual one. likes to be around people but doesnt like to really DO anything. however if they do agree to do something, chances are it will get done- eventually.

from here most people have one dominant trait and one lesser. for instance a sanguine phlegmatic is the most liked kind of person- laid back, loves people, the kind of guy that throws parties and lets everywhere fall as it may.

and this, in a nutshell, is people. everyone falls into these 4 categories no matter how unique or whatever they think they are. for me im probably mostly phlegmatic with a bit of sanguine- I love to party but I dont like being the guy everyones staring at.
If there is no grand plan; if there is no big picture; if nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do.

When I was young my dad explained his 2 by 2 matrix, similar to the army thing described by Ikken Hisatsu.

Everyone is either hard-workin or lazy.

Everyone is either a good old boy or a son-of-a-bitch.

You can be a lazy SOB, or a hard-workin SOB.

You can be a lazy GOB, or a hard-workin GOB.

    Hey thanks

I reckon that people who is too much into philosophy will be insane. I see your point and it is a very hearty advice. I'll keep that in mind. I'll try not to raid byzantine tonight

    I made up this theory;
    1. those who like sunset
    2. those who like sunrise
I am the one who hate sunrise. Since I was born, I woke up after 11am everyday mostly. I like to stay at night, don't know why. Maybe I'm too lazy.

I've made up a theory too. There are three kinds of people:
    1) Those that reply to any post, as often as they can
    2) Those that seldom reply
    3) Those that don't participate in internet-discussions
    I'm in the first group.
    As you have noticed .
