Never playing the Moslems, but Jihads can only be launched against previous owned Moslem provinces.

As, kiwitt said, they can be launched against a province that in some past was owned by you (you could have owned it for a turn or for a century).

A good strateg for the Muslim factions is to do raids, keep invading provinces but dont hold them always retreat and you dont even have to storm the castle. This way you could launch jihads at half of the map. Try it, its fun.

I think you're best off going with a buffet line. Hummous, baba ganoush, shawrima and of course a selection of kebobs. Just remember, soft drinks only

Now if you lunch a crusade we're talking ham, roast beef, assorted game fowl - tons of ale of course - and I think a family style sit-down is preferable.

    ...?
Anyhoo, I prefer Crusades as they are easier to exicute (though more expencive). I'm more offencive oriented.
"And one should bear in mind that there is nothing more difficult to execute, nor more dubious of success, nor more dangerous to administer than to introduce a new order to things; for he who introduces it has all those who profit from the old order as his enemies; and he has only lukewarm allies in all those who might profit from the new. This lukewarmness partly stems from fear of their adversaries, who have the law on their side, and partly from the skepticism of men, who do not truly believe in new things unless they have personal experience in them."

Jihads are better you can launch several at the same time unlike crusade's which must be completed before you can send another. Can be dodgy if an heir is in one he has to stay untill the end.

Just a quick question, do Jihads rely on Zeal like Crusades? Ive never really used them before and i was wondering, since zeal in Muslim areas of the world is rubbish, so surely Jihads cant be much use... right?
