    Hello,

I have heard abut a few mods, 102, and 103.
Also Viking Invasion, and Warlord Edition.

v.1.02 what is special about this and 1.03? How does it affect your game?

Who makes VI and ME? Where can I buy/download them at?

I also saw another topic about Shogun on a Medeival engine, made by Barocca, how is this mod like, and what are the system requirements?

One more question, when I start to play MTW on my pc the map goes white, I can still see the pieces, but I don't know where to put them at, what's wrong?

    Thank you all very much.

Couldn't find the edit button, sorry.

when I said VI I meant the mod with the Mongols. Sorry for the confusion.

I can answer one of your questions. VI and ME are made by the same people who made the original MTW and STW. THEY CAN NOT BE DOWNLOADED, so don't get that idea or it's pirating . They can be bought at any place that sells computer games

Mongol Invasion (MI) is the official xpack for STW.
Warlord Edition (WE) is STW with the xpack built in.

I don't think that you can find MI anywhere. However, WE is still available in some stores or online. It costs around 15 USD.

1.02 is the latest offiial patch for WE/MI. Can be DL here at the Org DL section or at the Official Site

1.03 is the MP community units' stats set that most MP players use now. Can be DL here at the Org DL section.

There is also a stat swapping program somewhere that allow you to easily switch between stats set (1.02 or 1.03).

The Shogun on Medieval engine is a mod for MTW, VI I believe. The mod just let you play STW campaign in MTW engine. I don't have this mod, but I think it will be enteresting.

I heard of that problem before. I did a search in the Tech lib and Apothecary but came up empty. My guess is video card problem. If you can post some info about your PC here, someone may be able to help.

PC info such as: OS, MEM, video card info and driver version, DX version,... For those info, you can run dxdiag (Start - Run - type in dxdiag - click OK) and copy the info from 1st page (your system info), the Display page (video card info) and may be the Sound page (sound card info).

    Whoa

Running WinXP on 62(4?)MB of RAM? I think 256MB is the mininum recommended. Also, IIRC, that Intel Graphics Controller is what is causing your white campaign map. I seem to recall there being a work around for this, but I further think you don't have enough RAM to do the job. Me thinks you need to do some upgrading. Others more learned in this area can probably give you some recommendations.

    Hello,

I've seen claims of XP running on 64 mb. That's the absolute minimum I think.

    From the readme:

    System Requirements

    MINIMUM CONFIGURATION

    Windows® 98, Windows 2000(Service Pack 1 or later), Windows® ME or Windows® XP

Intel® Pentium® II 350 Mhz MMX or AMD Athlon™ processor with supported Direct3D® video card

    128 MB RAM

4x CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive (Medieval: Total War –Viking Invasion Disc must be in your drive to launch the game)

400 MB of hard drive space required for Medieval: Total War –Viking Invasion Expansion. Additional space required for system swap-file and DirectX® 9 installation. (Note: 2.1 GB free hard disk space is required for Medieval: Total War + Medieval: Total War –Viking Invasion Expansion.)

Direct X 9.0 required (included on disc)

16 MB Direct3D® capable video card with DirectX 9 compatible drivers

    DirectX 9 compatible sound card

Windows Media® Player 6.4 or higher (not on CD; available at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...ia/default.asp)

    Keyboard

    Mouse

IMPORTANT NOTE: Medieval: Total War –Viking Invasion disc must be in your drive to launch and play the game.

    RECOMMENDED

    600 MHz or faster processor

    128 MB or more RAM

    8x or faster CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive

2.1 GB free hard disk space is required for Medieval: Total War + Medieval: Total War –Viking Invasion Expansion.

64 MB or greater Direct3D capable video card

    IDEAL

    1.2 GHz or faster processor

    256 MB or more RAM

    8x or faster CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive

2.1 GB free hard disk space is required for Medieval: Total War + Medieval: Total War - Viking Invasion Expansion.

Fast 64 MB Direct3D capable video card

    REQUIRED FOR MULTIPLAYER

Internet: 56 Kbps or faster Internet connection recommended, 1 CD per computer, 1 player per computer

Network: TCP/IP compliant network, 1 CD per computer, 1 player per computer

Pentium® III 750 or Athlon™ processor or higher

In order to play online you must install GameSpy™ Arcade and create an account or just create an account at: www.gamespyid.com

The minimum specification (750mhz) is based on 2 players. With more than 2 players participating, (up to the supported 4 players over an internet connection or 8 on a LAN) requires higher specifications for smooth game play.

IMPORTANT NOTE: For additional smooth running, all specifications may require an additional 64-200 MB approximately hard disc space for Windows swap file space. More system RAM will dictate a smaller swap file size.

DX9 isn't required to run MTW.

Page File is the virtual memory. Part of your harddisk acts as if it's RAM.

I guess you should consider an upgrade Balmont: some RAM and an entry-level Geforce videocard.

    Ja mata
