MP: Battle log anomalies

I am currently ranked 8,169th in the Shogun League and I'm sinking fast

This surprised me as until last week I have been avoiding competitive games.

Checking the battle log it claims that I have fought in 11 competitive games some of which I am sure were Friendly when I joined. It also shows that 4 of these are 'Battle not yet complete' at least 2 of which I recall were victories.

My current battle score is 1 win 6 losses but I have only knowing played 5 competitive games, lost 3 and won 2.

Have any other newbie MP's noticed this anomaly?

And what are these 'Battle not yet complete' games all about, some have been going on for days?

Not altogether sure what's going on, but the total number of battles includes any comp battles you fought before the honor tables were re-set. My experience has been that those battles that are not yet completed were drops. It is possible that you may have been the victim of a couple of escapes in there, but I'm not sure. Check your log file to see what the status is. I'm guessing that EA won't do anything to give you credit for any victories that didn't post, so you may just have to suck it up.

As far as the ranking goes, I wouldn't worry too much about it. A couple more wins should push your honor back over 100 and you'll jump a couple 1000 places. Don't forget that everyone got reset to 100 honor and you'll jump ahead of all those that have not played since the tables were reset.

Actually I found that not all battles that are logged as uncompleted are drops and I made the mistake to draw conclusions from the number of uncompleted battles to the ESCaping activity of the respective player. Bad nono!
I think the logs are just EAtypical messed up!

I don't believe he has been victim of droppings. I've the same problem. A number of battle I fought are not recorded at all or appear as "not yet complete", and amongst them, there's victories but also defeats. And at least two people reported the same in the official board. So I guess there's currently some problem with battle registration.
As I came online very recently, I supposed it was a well-known problem and that everybody was in the same situation, but from what I read, I begin to think that only some people are concerned...only newbies who registered only after the re-set??? It's pretty annoying, anyway...

By the way, each time I try to host a battle and give up (no player coming, changing my mind and joining another battle, etc..), it appears too in the battle list as "not yet complete", while in fact it never began.
