Non-standard factions

I've seen people write about playing as the scicilians or the aragonese- but these factions are not available on a normal game. How do I play as them, do I need a mod or something?

Total war dir Campmap/startpos then open one of the txt files depending on which age your planning on starting in early high late etc, you need to scroll down untill you find this part..

just change FT_MINOR to FT_MAJOR save and it should work

Get aquainted with the game but then you must try Wes Whitakers MedMod out, it´s outstanding. Go to: http://wes.apolyton.net/

Wholly recommend Wes's mod...but play the vanilla version until you're fairly good first, or you'll get wiped out by the marauding AI.

Thanks guys- yeah I have played the game quite a lot already: I've got a total domination with the italians and minor victories with the english and turks.
Just wanted to play the aragonese for a bit of a challenge.

Props to Bas for the text editing- that's done the trick. Although I suspect I won't be able to boss people around if I play as the Pope
Ta for the medmod thing, but I think I'll leave it a bit before I use mods.
